Hmmmm... Those power lines... the little trees... It must be the electro-magnetic field!  BTW, this isn't photoshopped.

Cellular Trees

Sometimes I'll see a somewhat odd-looking little palm tree along the side of the freeway, standing all by itself. Nothing but grass and dirt, and there's this one little palm tree.

It turns out they are cellular antennas. This place manufactures them -- here they are in various stages of completion.

Santa in Pasadena

A bookstore in Pasadena called complaining of allergy symptoms among the employees, and suspected the air conditioning. I found this on the roof amongst the air handling equipment. It had nothing to do with the allergies. Neither did the air conditioning for the matter of that -- it turned out they were burning scented candles in the store. (BTW, the detritus those things and other "air fresheners" emit is worse for you than diesel exhaust. It just smells better).
